On 1st
December 2004 new rules came in to force for financial advisers, which
will be the biggest change on the financial high street for 17 years.
Until
recently, there were two main ways of seeking financial advice for
products such as life assurance, personal pensions and investment such
as stocks and shares and ISAs: either through an independent financial
adviser or a tied agent. Following a radical shake-up by the consumer
watchdog the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the way financial
products are sold, there is now a third way: though a multi-tied agent.
Despite these changes Roger Wickins of RJM Financial
Consultancy remains an independent
financial adviser (IFA), offering local consumers and businesses
unbiased financial advice on a number of products by researching and
recommending from the whole market. Roger Wickins and RJM
Financial Consultancy, are not linked to
any particular product provider and will offer clients the option of
paying by a fee, rather than taking commission, or a combination of
both, from one, or a select group of providers.
Independent advice, as offered by Roger Wickins is the only type
of advice that gives consumers and businesses access to all products on
the market through a qualified practitioner, providing you with the most
suitable financial product to match your individual needs.
